Silverstool/B.A.L.L.E Foundation 2nd Online Data Science & AI Fair: A Celebration of Youth Innovation Across Borders
On March 27, 2025, the Silverstoolers Student-Led Data Science & AI Program hosted its second Online Data Science & AI Fair alongside the C3 Graduation Ceremony. Students from five countries came together virtually to present original data-driven projects addressing real-world issues using Python, visualization, and critical thinking.
Dr. Lyn Ametewee opened the event with reflections on the power of youth-led innovation, followed by poster presentations from students for students representing The Noble College@GlobalTell (Nigeria), Hilltop Schools (Liberia), the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (Ghana). One of the most moving moments came during the vote of thanks — delivered by 14-year-olds Faith S. Johnson and Asatta Fanbulleh, among the youngest participants, whose composure and confidence underscored the maturity of the cohort.
The fair concluded with judges’ deliberations and scoring based on clarity, data insight, real-world relevance, and collaborative execution.
